Madison's World

This adorable shadow box is now hanging on the door to Madison's room. Isn't it so cute? My sister-in-law made it for a baby shower gift and I absolutely love it! But does this mean that I have to make our next child a super cute room with letters for his/her name etc... I have a feeling that we will make excuses like we're too busy for our next baby and he/she will not get as special of treatment. Poor kid.

When we got married we wanted a King size bed so we bought a brand new bedroom set for our room and since Nate already had his own bedroom set it had to go somewhere else other than the master. So for the first two years of our marriage this is what our second bedroom looked like:
Pretty much looks like Nate's room that he lived in at his parents' house.

So when we found out we were expecting a little girl a few changes had to be made around the house. First of all we had to paint her room to be a beautiful pink and brown in order to match the bedding I wanted. Thank goodness Nate's dad is retired and offered to paint the entire room for us. Mine and Nate's painting is not allowed in our house anymore. To see our handywork just come down to our basement where we messed up the wall so bad it had to be covered with a wall-sized bookcase!

So here's the one of the pink walls with Madison's crib and cute bedding! (store-bought; I don't sew and neither does my mom so the only homemade things Madison has are from more talented extended family members)

The other pink wall. Her initials (for Madison Kate Gygi if you didn't know) and dresser.

And the back wall that we chose to do in brown with her changing table and shelves.

Pretty simple, but then again that's how I decorate. I've never been too creative and so nothing is really spectacular. But Madison loves it, I just know it!

And of course...
I had to include a picture or two from Madison's newborn shots. So freaking cute! I mean just look at that little pout. Don't you want to plant a big kiss on those lips?!

Love, love, love her!

Oh my goodness Mindy, she is just adorable!!! And by the way I think her room is darling. Lucky for us we got another boy so they just get to share the cute room I decorated for Luke, so maybe you will have 2 girls and they can share the cuteness :)

I love the photo of you kissing her! So precious. I wish I would have got one of me kissing Daxton. I guess there is always next time!
