For Christmas I wanted to not be so selfish this year and get something other than clothes. I figured it was a great time to ask for something to help us out with the new addition to our family, but it was hard to come up with something when you don't know what to expect with the little one or what you are going to need. I still have no clue about everything that we will need for the baby and it will be here in about 5 months... ahhh!
So, to think of something gender neutral that could go with any decorating ideas we come up with for this baby I decided I wanted a piece of furniture that every young mother should have. My wonderful mom bought me this fabulous rocking chair as a start to our baby furniture collection and I love it!
We just put it together last weekend and haven't moved Nate's furniture out of the second bedroom yet so for now it sits in our living room just waiting to be taken to its home in the nursery upstairs.
I helped (not much) Nate put this together and when he was done he decided to try it out. Can't you see him ending up like this on Sunday afternoons? Sleeping in the rocking chair, baby in arms, and Mindy in her bedroom taking a nap on the bed....

And I am just crazy enough to hold my imaginary baby in my arms while I rock back and forth to try it out. That's right baby Gygi, get excited to come home to this weird mommy!
