Stole this from Miss Amanda Couch's blog because I love reading these kinds of things on other people, and best of all I love filling out surveys on myself!
1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before? Got Pregnant
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I have never made New Year's Resolutions. Which means I probably won't make any for 2010!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Several close friends, it seemed as though everyone around was having babies so I decided to join the club for next year. Also, my sister-in-law brought us a baby newphew.
4. Did anyone close to you die? Nate's Grandpa Gygi
5. What countries did you visit? Just America for me
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009? What wouldn't I like to have that I didn't lack in 2009 other than more money and other selfish, materialistic posessions?
7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Uh, I'll say June 12th since that was our one year anniversary, but no specific dates really stick out.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Got a promotion in April and have loved my new job ever since...
9. What was your biggest failure? Not saving as much money as we were supposed to
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I did suffer from lots of morning sickness, but hopefully that will be leaving us as we enter 2010. Also, my cute hubby and I visited the Emergency Room for 5 stitches on his forehead after a rough game of church basketball.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Anything for my house (i.e. the coffee table, end table, fabulous painting for the kitchen) Oh, and Nate's car
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Beyonce Knowles for giving Taylor Swift the chance to speak after Kanye took it away from her.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Tiger Woods, well I wouldn't say I was depressed for him, but it's pretty appalling
14. Where did most of your money go? Mortgage payments, a new car, a trip to San Diego
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Honestly, getting pregnant was pretty cool and I was really, really, really excited to tell everyone about it!
16. What song will always remind you of 2009? I Got A Feelin, by Black Eyed Peas. It was always on in the boat this summer and reminds me of those good times!
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? happier
b) thinner or fatter? Surprisingly I am probably about 5 pounds thinner than the beginning of 2009, but at 15 weeks pregnant I am sure that is about to rapidly change for the worse...
c) richer or poorer? Richer, we're not saving any more but I am making more and it's funny how easy it is to spend more when you're making more!
18. What do you wish you’d done more of? Cleaned, excercised, and gone on more vacations
19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Worked, complained to my husband about money
21. Did you fall in love in 2009? Nah, I love my husband plenty
22. What was your favorite TV program? What wasn't my favorite TV show? The Bachelor remains high on the list, The Office, Modern Family, Keeping up with Kardashians... they're all so good
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? That's ridiculous, if I hated someone more this year I definitely wouldn't tell anyone!
24. What was the best book you read? I don't read cool books so out of the few I read from Nicholas Sparks I'd say "The Lucky One" was the best
25. What was your greatest musical discovery? I didn't discover any good music this year, my husband probably discovered several, but he's still probably his own greatest musical discovery!
26. What did you want and get? Preggers
27. What did you want and not get? My husband to get a new job
28. What was your favorite film of this year? Probably The Ugly Truth
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I know I didn't work because it was a Friday, but I honestly can't remember. Thanks a lot, Nate, for making such a memorable B-day for me! Just kiddin, love you lots. Oh, and I turned 24
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? If my work decided to move down the street from my house, I hate the commute
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009? Nothing awesome, I still buy the majority of my clothing with the thought that I have to be able to wear it to work and I end up with nothing plain or comfortable enough for the weekends
32. What kept you sane? Having Fridays off and the very occasional getaway from Utah
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? John Mayer, he seems like he'd be hilarious and I still enjoy all of his music
34. What political issue stirred you the most? None
35. Who did you miss? I missed Tyler, Dannielle, and Isabella for the first 9 months but then they got smart and came back to good ol' Utah!
36. Who was the best new person you met? Sawyer, Kambri, Daxton etc. (my friend's kids that were born this year)
37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009. You can't play God
38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year. No.

I'm glad you did this post; I had the same tag saved in my posts half-finished and had forgotten about it. I better get on it before it's totally irrelevant!

and whoo hoo congrats on the baby, you will love being a mama & nate is sure to be a fantastic dad!
Thanks Mindy! I loved reading more about you and your year. I laughed several times--the best being the last answer. No.
Ah, I feel like I learned so much about you! Very entertaining. Sounds like work, money + family are the biggest part of your life-- guess that means you're officially all grown-up! Funny you should mention Tiger Woods. I can't believe how much negative attention he's garnered. I wish people would just leave the poor guy alone!! It also sounds like I need to come see all the new stuff you've bought for you house-- how about hosting a dinner + game night?! (no kids ;) )
